AIRVENTURE FUELS A POSITIVE INDUSTRY OUTLOOK

Although it often showcases unusual innovations, such as a jet pack that latches to humans, the Experimental Aircraft Association's annual AirVenture show remains a good metric for gauging GA industry health, industry leaders say. JET AND TURBOPROP SHIPMENTS SET RECORDS

Shipments and billings for GA jets and turboprops set records in the second quarter, according to the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA). Billings in this category totaled $12.1 billion for the first six months of 2008. Compared to the first half of 2007, billings increased 24.1 percent....
